LFW- Part 2

Here's the second part of my London Fashion week favourites...

Burberry

This has to be my all time favourite spring/sumer 2014 collections. Well so far but I am pretty sure this is my favourite show of the season. I may be a little biased since I am pretty obsessed with Christopher Bailey. Watch this link and try not to be. Anyway I feel like this collection was made for me with its pastel LadurĂ©e macaron colours. Is it weird this collection made me hungry? Never thought I would feel that way after a fashion collection. The colour palette wasn't the only reason why I am in love with this collection. I love the mix of cashmere, lace and jewels. The coats had to be my favourite part of the collection from the iconic trench coats with a lace twist to the tan oversized overcoats. There was a romantic feel to the whole collection. Christopher Bailey described this collection as an english rose garden but sexy at the same time. Isn't this collection just perfection?

Paul Smith

Seeing this collection made me feel like I was in the 70's. I love the wide legged trousers with printed and chiffon tucked shirts with the large fedoras. The blazers and jackets were oversized as well. This may sound quite manly but somehow he made the collection sexy by through the use of short shorts, translucent chiffons and low neck lines. It showcased the perfect balance between feminine and masculine silhouettes.

Sister by Sibling

This collection was inspired from photographs of women from the 50's who held 'tupperware parties' and 'lived in houses with white picket fences'. The design team described the collection as "domestic glamour". There are slogan tops, gingham, florals, zig zag knits, crotchet suits, dotted denim and ruffles. As you can tell this collection has a wide range of looks but I love the individual looks.

Preen

One of my favourite things about Preen collections are the prints. This collection is one of my favourite prints they have come up with. There are digitalised prints which are a mix of bright florals and cubes. There is an art deco feel to it. There was a mix of whites, sugary pastels and acid pinks. The clothes were asymmetrical with translucent chiffon inserts and organza shapes. My favourite part of the collection were the printed chiffon camisole dresses. The whole collection just had a fun and upbeat feel to it which if you can tell by posts by now I absolutely love.

Biggest Disappointment: Mulberry

I assumed it would top my list but sadly I wasn't such a big fan the collection for summer. The collection wasn't bad. I mean I did like the clothes however I just expected much more. I just think compared to their previous collections I was a little disappointed. I usually would never write something negative about a brand  but I was curious if anyone else felt that way. I'd love to hear if you agree or disagree with me. It could just be that I am going through a floral and pastel obsession at the moment!

Are there any shows you think I missed out? What are your favourite looks? You know mine is Burberry.
